Si ... si .... a mi me ha quedado claro , claro .... a dicho....
The British Army in World War differed from the other contenders in most of its troops, until 1916, were volunteers, not conscripts. Of the 400.oo0 men in rows at the beginning of the war, half was distributed by numerous military domains. Other 100.00 infantry and cavalry were sent to France in the early days of the conflict as part of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF for its acronym in English) and another 80,000 followed by the end of 1914. Since the early campaigns in the casualties had been very high since the advent of the trenches announced a long conflict, some 400,000 soldiers volunteers formed what would become known as the "Army of Kitchener" in honor of the Secretary of State for War, Lord Kitchener, responsible for its formation. Most of that army fought and died during the Battle of the Somme in July 1916. A third army was recruited in January 1916 to fill the indentation, this time under the system of conscription. In total, more than 8,000,000 English served during the war, not counting the numbers of colonies and territories of the Commonwealth of the Empire. Of that number, 573,507 died in service to 100,000 missing and injured 1,643,469 joined.
The British Empire had the advantage over other fighters have been at war continuously for at least the last century, so short of tools for the fight was not, although some of them proved lower against the German and others were clearly obsolete and were replaced. But undoubtedly the highlight was the introduction of the first tank at the Battle of the Somme on 15 September 1916, when 49 armored vehicles Mark I participated in the Battle of Flers-Coucrcelette, although its tactical performance left much to be desired and needed many reforms to become a real weapon.
Y luego , la mia dispara mas , no ?
